Alkali Scientific EcoSeal™ Polyester Sealing Film, 100/pk
EcoSeal™ features smaller dimensions and a single non-perforated end-tab to provide a more cost-effective alternative to protect samples from evaporation, external contamination, dust and particulates. Provides a secure seal and is easy to remove. Rigid polyester film features good clarity and easy handling. Can be used as a temporary seal while awaiting further processing.
Waters Corp Aluminum Foil Laminate Heat Seal, 100/pk
Aluminum Foil Heat Seal - is good for most solvents used in laboratories. The seal can be used over the temperature range from -200 to 90 C. Requires a heat sealer to apply.
Andwin Scientific ThermalSeal 2 Film
These improved films for classic thermal cycling applications consist of a 50 µm polyester film with a 41 µm layer of acrylic adhesive. Compared to the original ThermalSeal films (below), ThermalSeal 2 films offer better adhesion, reduced evaporation, longer end tabs for easier handling, and less tendency to tear during removal from the plate. Each sealing film measures 79.4 x 139.7 mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 125.1 mm. (Not recommended for raised-rim plates; see ThermalSeal A films below.)
Alkali Scientific SealSafe ColorTab™, Sealing Film, Orange, 100 Sheets
SealSafe ColorTab™ is an inscribed color-coded end-tab that can be removed and pasted into a laboratory notebook while the other remains on the plate for identification. The film sheet can be removed from the plate without disturbing the identification label due to the finely perforated end-tabs. Provides a secure seal and is easy to remove. Rigid polyester film features good clarity and easy handling. Features two end-tabs with perforations.
Alkali Scientific ThermaSeal™ Polypropylene Sealing Film, Sterile, 100/pk
Only recommended for structurally rigid polypropylene PCR plates that don’t warp. A less rigid polypropylene film that minimizes aerosols upon removal. Certified DNase- & RNase- free. Features good chemical resistance.
Alkali Scientific ThinSeal™ Ultra-thin, Semi-pierceable Sealing Film, 100/pk
Polyester films just 25 mum thick, clearer and marginally pierceable with single-channel pipettes for sample recovery. Dimensions are 54.0 mm x 141.0 mm. Semi-pierceable, and leaves minimal residue.
